KONICHIWA!!!!!!!!!!!

Hai! Watashiwa LB des. :D :D :D

Please remember to print out the lyrics. You can listen to the song here.

Where Is The Love by The Black Eyed Peas

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

It's really long.

Bye bye(sayonara) for now!!!

Hey truth.

A few things worth noting:

1) Your English file. I've already photocopied the filing arrangements for you guys, those who have mysteriously lost them during the hols, come to me and I'll rescue you.

2) Remember to photocopy your book reviews. For those who haven't. We need to hand up a book review on the book that you've read over the holidays.(I think.) On Friday.

3) Remember to bring your English holiday homework over the next few days.

4) Try to bring the Compre book on days when your bag isn't that heavy and leave it in class. I don't know if Miss. Cheong will ask us to do a bit of revision on Summary. She might. Don't blame me if she doesn't.

Yup. That's all.

Yours Sincerely,
Your EL rep,
Your classmate,

LB

Word of the day is:

dilatory \DIL-uh-tor-ee\, adjective:
1. Tending to put off what ought to be done at once; given to procrastination.
2. Marked by procrastination or delay; intended to cause delay; -- said of actions or measures.

What a coincidence! This is the real word of the day. And it's about procrastination.

Spanish word of the day is:
*drumroll please*

bonito, adjective:
pretty; nice

Bonito is a word you will probably come across quite often. It refers first to physical appearance:

i.e. un vestido muy bonito
a very pretty dress

School is starting in 5 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHA AND I'M BACK.

(0)-(0)

POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED.

School is starting in SEVEN days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the_____________.....

Ok. The WORD OF THE DAY IS:
*drumroll, please.*

claque \KLACK\,

noun:1. A group hired to applaud at a performance.
2. A group of fawning admirers.

I mean can you imagine it? Some people hire others to clap at a performance. =.=
Must be really boring, huh?

Another word of the day is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
D
pro·cras·ti·nate

[proh-kras-tuh-neyt, pruh-] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation verb, -nat·ed, -nat·ing.
–verb (used without object)
1.
to defer action; delay: to procrastinate until an opportunity is lost. –verb (used with object)
2.
to put off till another day or time; defer; delay.

Aha. Get this, people. If you still have A BIG WHOLE PILE OF HOLIDAY HOMEWORK on your desk, TURN THE COM OFF NOW AND START DOING THE DAMN THING.

I think I'm getting lame. Uh huh.

BTW did you guys watch the doraemon episode today? Was on channel 8 and yeah I'm still a child at heart. :D It was about this bubble device doraemon used to keep the who(Da xiong)'s concentration locked up in his head so whatever he does he'd be doing it as if his life depended on it. So he ended up completing his homework in just a few hours, or maybe just one hour, when he used to take days to finish his work. And of course, stupid da xiong went around causing trouble with the device but you don't need to know that. Just remember:

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK TAKES CONCENTRATION AND IF YOU CAN CONCENTRATE-YOU'RE ALREADY WINNING.

I mean, you can even finish it in just one day.

Aha. So this is LB reporting from her home at 4.47 pm. Thank you for listening.

The primetime evening news will go on in a minute.

AHA AND I'M BACK AGAIN.

This is the second post to keep the blog from being dead. Yup. So.......................... POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED POSTED.

THE WORD OF THE MINUTE IS:

fustian
\FUHS-chuhn\, noun:
1. A kind of coarse twilled cotton or cotton and linen stuff, including corduroy, velveteen, etc.
2. An inflated style of writing or speech; pompous or pretentious language.

If nobody's gonna post, I'm gonna keep on pasting word of the days for all of you guys.

NEVER STOP LEARNING ENGLISH BECAUSE THE LANGUAGE ROCKS.

Posted at 17:49

Aha. Good afternoon, ladies, and this is of course your lovely, kind, cute and adorable ENGLISH REP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aha. Yep, and you do know my name, don't you? Ahem, for those nincompoops out there, my
name is LB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since no one is posting, I secreted the password from our BRAND NEW MONITOR LU and yippee. Here I am

THE WORD OF THE DAY IS:

apprise
\uh-PRYZ\, transitive verb:
To give notice to; to inform; -- often followed by of; as, we will apprise the general of an intended attack; he apprised the commander of what he had done.

AHA. THAT IS YOUR WORD OF THE DAY, MY DEARS. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

As you can see, I don't have any pictures to post, but words and language never fail to amuse anyone. The reason this blog is dead is because most of our comrades are sent on overseas missions(or perhaps lazy posters), you see, yup, and a BIG MESSAGE TO THEM ALL:

DEAR FELLOW ONE-TRUTHIANS-WHO-ARE-OVERSEAS,

the literature quiz is up. And get started on your homework. Yep. ESPECIALLY YOUR ENGLISH!!!

And a BIG MESSAGE FROM THE EL REP:

Dear one truthians,

Please think of something to say for the topic "How did you spend your June holidays?", so when you guys go back to school we will hear all kinds of amusing and interesting speeches, no matter how boring your holidays were. Alright? I bet our new el teacher will ask us to speak about it. Yup. And miss goh is gone........................................................................ :( And they might change subject reps.................... BUT I LIKE BEING AN EL REP........ :(:(

Ok...I've run out of things to say. Yup. :D SCHOOL IS STARTING IN NINE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(That was a warning, not a celebratory yell of glee. More of a doomsday reminder, if you will.)

TA TAS FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh btw, this is LB posting. Or have I already said that? heehee...
